Duncansfield TMD is a 00 gauge micro-layout that has been built at the home of one our youngest members perhaps with some assistance from his father. As a small layout it measures 4 feet by 2 feet over the scenic area with an 18-inch fiddle yard.
The layout depicts a fictional small Traction Maintenance Depot (TMD) serving the coal industry somewhere in the Midlands with a single-platform station alongside. The layout answers the question of what if the management of Mainline Ltd were successful in their bid for the Trainload business; and so those new-fangled class 66s had never arrived resulting in the class 37s and 58s reigning supreme.
